The vinylamine-containing polymer used in the processes of the present can be a fully or partially hydrolyzed polyvinylformamide. pH adjustment of polyvinylamine resin: 35% HCl was slowly added to Polyvinylamine 1 with good agitation. The pH was monitored as the HCl was added.
